online shopping during my recovery (the things i bought or nearly bought when i could order things to my house)

I never order things. Orders are really only made if I really want something and can’t easily organise a collection. So I took my 2 and a half weeks operation recovery as a great time to make some orders again. Not all the things here were ordered, but all were wanted. what i eat in a day (vegetarian and with times)

Another ‘what I eat in a day’ captured when my parents were away. I think this was the first full day I had spent downstairs in about 8 years. It was fun, I did basically a whole 1000 piece jigsaw and watched the entire last season of Sex and the City and a few other episodes. And I ate some great food. my october 2023 favourites

I am 2 days into my surgery recovery (posts on that to come but I am going to mention it in the majority of my posts for the next like month), so it’s kind of hard for me to remember wearing clothes outside and putting makeup on right now but I will give it my best. I’ve been living in comfies, but there was a time not too long ago (literally last week) where I was greatly enjoying the eventual drop in temperature and return of the best season. At least I have the media section of the post down. Continue reading “my october 2023 favourites”

my favourite versions of the songs in west side story

The songs in West Side Story have been sung by everyone, as they should. It’s the musical I’m probably the most familiar with and I have strong opinions about which versions of the songs I like the most. I just wanted to do a quick post playlisting the musical with my favourite performances of the songs. Continue reading “my favourite versions of the songs in west side story”

a recent book haul (new and second hand)

This is about a weeks span of book purchases. A wild thing to say considering the amount here but it’s true. In my defence this was a atypical week and I’m going to make up for the ins with outs very soon. That’s my thing with book purchases right now, as long as I’m donating about the same amount that I’m buying I’m happy. Any way this has all been very serious, I am so excited to read these. A good amount have been on my list for a while or are books I’m going to get to very soon. A few of them I would have read by the time this post goes up. Blurbs are taken from Goodreads as per. free people wishlist/window shop

I have decided that I am a Free People girl. They sell some really ugly things but they sell cute things too and frankly I had a whale of a time looking through their website. Rest assured the 2010 fashion is alive and well at Free People. I am poor so I will not be buying any of these pieces, but they’re nice to look at and think about. my 6 favourite pretty little liars characters

I seem to be doing a post like this for every long show I binge. My plan with PLL was to maybe get to the end of season 2 but I went full hog and just watched the whole thing. Let me tell you, the version of this post that I wrote mid-season 4 was very different to the finish result. My intention was to have 10 characters here. I ended up with 6. how i spent my 24th birthday (mostly a book haul)

I turned 24 on October 11th. I don’t want to talk about it, honestly my birthday celebrations kind of sucked but I did do things and I want to share the things and then show you all the books I got. I spent just under £150 on books (£115 at one place, a little under £40 at another) and that really was the highlight of the birthday festivities for me.
