my september 2023 favourites

September went by so so quickly. Truly blink and I missed it. But now we are in better times and my favourite month is about to start. Hopefully October goes by a bit slower. I have been shopping this month and so have things to talk about here. Actually a lot to talk about, this is potentially my longest favourites in a while.

my september 2023 playlist

I honestly don’t have a lot to say about the music this month. There have been a few stellar albums that I have had on hard repeat but a big place I’ve found new songs is Spotify’s daylist feature, where they make a playlist that’s about an hour and a half long and based on the music you usually listen to at that time of the day. So it changes 4 times a day 7 times a week. It’s great and has worked very well for me, most of the time. Continue reading “my september 2023 playlist”

a quick depop wishlist

I have been so wishlist heavy on here recently. But I am in a blah period and no matter how my head feels I am always going to want new clothes. There are only a few pieces here. I’ve spent a lot of time on Depop recently, but apparently so have everyone else because a lot of the items I’ve liked recently have been bought already. They’re also very samey but I just think that shows the mood I’m in. Long unnecessary intro over. Continue reading “a quick depop wishlist”

what i’ve read recently // in my hardbacks era (part 2)

The second part of my hardbacks moment, and the better part might I add. There are some fantastic books in this post (there are also a couple books that aren’t hardbacks). I donated way less than I thought I would, which is annoying because the whole reason I even read hardbacks was to free up a shelf that I definitely did not free up. the clothing items i want to wear but can’t because it’s still too hot

I am hoping that by the time this post goes up, the heat has broken and the lightest of these items can be worn. I am entirely sick of being boiled in jeans and a t-shirt every day and just cannot wait to add another layer. Or even be able to wear wool. Wool sounds great to me right now. Here are the pieces I most really want to wear, but cannot because of global warming. Continue reading “the clothing items i want to wear but can’t because it’s still too hot”

a quick topshop wishlist

I found myself really missing Topshop, and walking through Topshop stores. It was really the first store I really liked, and when I was still figuring style out it was the easiest place to find pieces I liked. So I hopped onto Asos to see what Topshop has been making recently and I found some pieces I really liked and here are those. I had double the amount of items but cut a lot out as I was writing it. So big emphasis on quick here. Continue reading “a quick topshop wishlist”

my favourite looks from every sandy liang collection

I have been so so excited to do this post. I don’t think there is any designer working right now who is more impactful on current trends than Sandy Liang. This post is really going to be so indicative of that. She’s only gotten her flowers in recent years but Sandy Liang has been at the front of some huge trends and movements and I cannot wait to celebrate her. And I love that her website has all her collections on there and that the images are copyable. Not every designer can say that. Truly an advocate for the people.
