I almost forgot to add an intro, something I fear happening every time I write a post, but that has never happened before (I don’t think). May it never actually happen. This month has been long (Christmas in retail is never fun), I am very happy that it’s over, bring on 2024 truly. There were some good parts of this dire month, some true gems in the fields that got me through it. Although I really feel like I’ve forgotten something and this is a very blah post. This is by far the shortest one of these that I’ve ever done. Like I do not think this has 25 songs which is insane because I’ve done monthly playlists that push 125. Truly a sign of how no one releases music in December, and this year has been drier on that front than ever before. It does suggest a mammoth month of releases is upon us. the christmas presents i gave this year // what i gave for christmas

I really won Christmas this year. Like my presents were incredible, I was so confident that no one was going to get better than me. My plan was to take pictures of the presents as I wrapped them but I obviously very much forgot to do that. Very annoying of myself. Anyway, here are the really great presents. Important information for this one: my parents were on holiday again. I also was not super hungry the night before which meant I had the prior night’s dinner to eat and that I was uber hungry. I have never deliberately read Christmas books at Christmas, and being a bookshop manager that feels like a minor crime. my 30 favourite florence + the machine songs

I am back in a Florence + the Machine phase and am shocked that I haven’t done this post before so I’m doing it. There is a real mix here from all their albums and eras. Although it will be clear which albums I like the most. I love this band so much, I wish I could see them live again and I miss them everyday. There is a mix of live performances and official videos here and one audio track because I cannot find a live performance that’s not part of a set. The second post to document my need and want to buy new glasses but my hesitation to actually buy new ones. They’re expensive y’know. I found myself once again on the Specsavers website and thought that I may as well make a post with my favourites while I was there. They actually don’t have one of the pairs I want on there, but there are a tons of other great ones. I do not really follow anything I said in my last glasses post but that is okay. Describing glasses is so hard, especially describing them from a picture so sorry if this post is painful to read but at least the glasses are pretty. what i’m using to clear up my acne // my skincare routine (december 2023)

My skin broke out awfully in October and it has taken some time and figuring things out, but I have finally got a routine down that levels out my skin and has gotten rid of the worst of the breakouts. This is going to be a quite stripped down, most basic form of what I use. I have quite a few random products I may apply if I feel like it but this is my most common routine right now, and the products that I really feel have helped me.
